You can use this as an additional storage from any of the devices that you use. OneDrive for Business is a free online storage that comes with your Office 365 account.

Microsoft has communicated how they protect their users' data ( Microsoft's Trust centre), but as these services are outside SMU's control, IITS does not have governing rights to their security mechanisms. Note : After students have graduated, the files stored in OneDrive for Business will not be accessible anymore, students must backup their files before graduation. Until otherwise advised, its use is limited to the period when students are enrolled with SMU. OneDrive for Business cloud service is an extended service provided by Microsoft under our SMU campus-wide licence at no extra cost to our students.

Note : Use 'Microsoft Word', 'Microsoft Excel', 'Microsoft PowerPoint' and 'Microsoft Outlook' as keyword in searching for the other Office 365 if you want to install the applications individually.

Alternatively, you can also install the following applications individually.

You have now installed and activated your mobile Microsoft Office App.

Once logged in you will be prompted to install the other needed applications.

Tap on Accept, to allow Office Mobile an access.

On the search results, tap on Microsoft Office Mobile.

Use Microsoft Office Mobile as your keyword in searching for the application.

Android users has several options, you can install Microsoft office mobile (with Word, Excel and PowerPoint in one app) or install each (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) of the application individually. Please follow the instructions below to install Office 365 for your Android device. Note : For more information on Office 365 apps for iPhone click here. The other available applications are PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

You may do the same for the other Microsoft Office Applications that you wanted to install.

Tap on Create and Edit Documents to start using.

Swipe right and finish the introduction.

Type in your SMU password and tap on Sign in.

You will be prompted for your password once more.

At the sign in prompt enter your SMU email and click Next.

You will be required to sign in on your initial use.

Tap Get / Install and wait for the application to finish installation.

iOS installation would require you to install each (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) of the applications individually. Double Click the DMG file.Please follow the instructions below to install Office 365 for iOS device.

Use the following instructions to install on a Mac, or download the Mac instructions with screenshots. On a Mac you can use the following products:

Select Take a look to see the introduction or choose No thanks.

Choose an Office background and click Next.

Click Next on the 'Meet OneDrive' screen.

Select Use recommended settings and then click Accept.

Office will connect to your student email account.

Enter your student email password and click Sign in.

Enter your student email address and click Next.

Otherwise you can save, and run the setup later.

When prompted to Run or Save the setup, select Run.

Click Install to download and install the latest version of Office.

Select Advanced if you wish to install the 64-bit version instead.
